Quota comes to Australia
Dr Mabel Palmer, a past president of Quota International, visited Australia and introduced the concept of a women’s service organisation to a small group of interested women.

1933
Quota Sydney is charted
In June 1933, the Quota Club of Sydney, New South Wales, was considered far enough advanced to receive charter. This was a most important event in Quota’s history – the organisation had now reached across the great Pacific Ocean. Lucy Proud was appointed governor.

1949
Australia ends the year with 10 Quota clubs.

1958
Queensland comes into its own
The Queensland clubs separated from New South Wales this year to forge ahead as their own region.

1991
Quota International of Jimboomba is chartered
Our chapter was charted on the 31st Of August 1991 with 25 members. It was incorporated in 1995.

1994
Fashion Awards
These were held at the "Wineglass" Community Centre in Browns Plains.
2020
Into the future
Quota International was disbanded in 2020 after 101 years. However Quota Jimboomba emerged and began with it's new name on the 1st of October 2020. We will continue to help those in need.
